New Patient Experience

At your first visit in our Federal Way dentist’s office will conduct a comprehensive oral evaluation. If there are not current x-rays from a prior dentist, we will acquire a full-set of x-rays. They are an important tool in the gathering of information needed to make a thorough diagnosis. Included in the exam is an oral cancer screening. She will also assess the health of your gums by taking measurements. This will allow her to diagnose the presence of any periodontal disease and the type of dental cleaning you will require. She will also check the health of each individual tooth.

Dr. Lee will then be able to determine her treatment recommendations. Our Federal Way dentist’s office manager, Cristi, will then present those recommendations to you, along with insurance information, if applicable.

As a courtesy, our new patient information forms are available on our website for you to download and fill out prior to your appointment with us!

We will also call 48 hours prior to your appointment to verify with you. We will try to speak with you directly, but if not, we ask that you please return our call to verify your appointment. If you ever need to call after business hours or during lunchtime, please leave a message and your call will be returned promptly. As a courtesy to our team and our other patients, we do request 48 business hours notice to change or reschedule your appointment.

Financial Information

Following your evaluation with Dr. Lee, she will review all findings and recommendations with you. Our team will then provide you with an itemized estimate of the recommendations. If you have dental insurance, we will estimate the benefits available for your treatment and your own out of pocket expense.

To make our patient’s experiences at our office easy as possible, we accept most insurance plans. We are preferred providers with Washington Dental Service, Premera, Regence, United Concordia, and the Mutually Preferred Group. We know that dental insurance can be very confusing, and we will do everything we can to partner with you to achieve your dental goals and maximize your dental benefits.

Co-payments and deductibles(the portion that insurance does not cover) are due at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If your dental goals are more comprehensive, we also offer convenient payment plans through Care Credit, for those services not covered by your dental insurance or if you do not have dental insurance. We have provided a link to Care Credit for your convenience.
